NFF Lab Safety

Evacuation and Emergency Escape Route

NFF is always fraught with danger. The chance of accidents is relatively high, as a lot of toxic, explosive gases and extremely hazardous chemicals are being used in the laboratory.

For this reason, we strongly suggest that all users and staff should familiarize with the evacuation procedure and the emergency escape route. (as shown in the diagram)

Evacuation is a matter of life and death. Please note that it is totally unnecessary to take off your cleanroom garment when you are escaping from NFF. When there is any alarm, you should:

  1. stay calm and avoid panic
  2. stop processing (and stop the equipment in operation if necessary);
  3. walk out of NFF via the shortest and safest escape route;
  4. switch to the alternative routes when the escape path is obstructed or found to be unsafe;
  5. assemble at the designated assembly point, report your personal safety to NFF's Safety Officer or Deputy Safety Officer;
  6. keep away from the laboratory until further notice.
